Brian R. Dilworth, M.D. is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee replacement. Growing up in Knoxville with a father and grandfather who were physicians, Dr. Dilworth always knew he wanted to follow in their footsteps. He chose joint replacement because he enjoys seeing his patients recover quickly and get back to the activities they never thought they’d be able to do again.
Dr. Dilworth graduated summa cum laude from Auburn University with a B.S. in kinesiology. He earned his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine, where he received the Russell Memorial Scholarship and was selected to serve on the admissions committee. He completed an orthopaedic surgery internship and residency at the University of Louisville in Kentucky. While in residency, Dr. Dilworth served on the House Staff Council. Dr. Dilworth completed his Adult Reconstruction Fellowship at the Southern Joint Replacement Institute in Nashville, Tennessee. While in Nashville, Dr. Dilworth received extensive training specifically in minimally invasive direct anterior hip replacement, partial knee replacement, outpatient joint replacement, and revision surgery. He was also trained in robotic hip and knee joint replacements, earning certifications in both procedures.Read More
