Dr. Robert Ivy earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Stanford University in 1983. He was awarded the prestigious Justin Potter Academic Scholarship to Vanderbilt Medical School and graduated in 1988. Dr. Ivy was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
He completed a one-year general surgical internship and four-year residency program in orthopaedic surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Dr. Ivy finished his training with a one-year fellowship in hand and microvascular surgery at the nationally renowned Indiana Hand Center in Indianapolis.

Dr. Ivy and his wife Carney have been married for more than 25 years. They have three children. He and Carney are very active in their church and children’s activities. Dr. Ivy enjoys hiking, backpacking, and cycling in his spare time.
